• Replaces Triumph T3558989, the sealing washer for the 14 mm sump bolt across the modern Hinckley range. Fifteen rings to a pack, each 14 mm inner by 22 mm outer by 2.0 mm thick, 0.55 in by 0.87 in, in flat aluminum. Enough for fifteen oil services, which on a bike serviced twice a year is most of the time anyone keeps it, and the spares cost less than a single dealer envelope of two.
• Aluminum is what Triumph uses at this joint and the reason is mechanical. The metal is soft enough to flow into the fine machining marks left on the sump face and firm enough to hold the clamp load once the bolt is down to torque. It is a single use item by design, so a fresh ring goes on at every oil change while the bolt itself stays in service for the life of the bike without any further attention.
• A returning seep is nearly always a reused washer. Once flattened the ring sits lower the second time and no longer fills the same gaps, and the usual response, another quarter turn on the bolt, is the one that stretches the threads in an aluminum sump. Fitting a new washer and torquing to the book figure costs nothing and settles the question before anyone reaches for a helicoil kit.
• Fits the Triumph models built around the 14 mm sump bolt: Bonneville, T100 and T120, Thruxton, Scrambler, Street Twin, Street Cup and Speed Twin, Street Triple and Speed Triple, Daytona 675 and 765, Tiger 800 and Tiger 1200, Trophy, Sprint ST and Sprint GT, and Rocket III. Triumph runs two sump bolt sizes across its history, so it pays to look at the bolt rather than the model name.
• It does not fit the earlier bikes built with a 22 mm sump bolt, which take a different and much larger ring. Those are the Daytona 750, 900, 1000 and 1200, Super Three, the carburettor Speed Triple and Sprint, Thunderbird and Thunderbird Sport, the carburettor Tiger 855, Trident, and Trophy 900 and 1200 up to VIN 038673. If your bike is on that list this pack is the wrong size for it.
