- 2-IN-1 RPM TACHOMETER & REV COUNTER – Industrial-T280 combines two measurement modes in one instrument. RPM mode measures rotational speed from 2 to 99,999 RPM, while REV mode counts from 1 to 99,999 revolutions. Switch between modes to measure rotating speed or track the total number of rotations.
- WIDE 2–99,999 RPM MEASUREMENT RANGE – Measure rotational speed across a broad operating range for motors, shafts, fans, blowers, pulleys, spindles, pumps and rotating machinery. The non-contact optical measurement method allows RPM testing without placing a mechanical measuring tip against the rotating component.
- ±0.05% ACCURACY & 0.1 RPM RESOLUTION – Designed for quantitative rotational speed measurements with stated accuracy of ±(0.05% + 1 digit). Resolution is 0.1 RPM from 2 to 999.9 RPM and 1 RPM at 1,000 RPM and above, providing detailed readings where low-speed changes need to be observed.
- 2–19.7 IN NON-CONTACT MEASURING DISTANCE – Detect reflective targets from 50 to 500 mm (2 to 19.7 in), allowing measurements from a practical working distance. Apply reflective tape to the rotating component, aim the visible beam at the target and press MEAS to obtain the rotational speed.
- MAX / MIN / LAST READING MEMORY – Built-in memory stores key results from the previous measurement session. Press MEM to review the maximum, minimum and last recorded values, making it easier to compare rotational-speed changes after completing a measurement.
- 0.5-SECOND SAMPLING ABOVE 120 RPM – Industrial-T280 provides a 0.5-second sampling time at rotational speeds above 120 RPM. The combination of responsive sampling, a quartz-crystal time base and a wide RPM range supports inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting and equipment testing.
- 5-DIGIT BACKLIT LCD DISPLAY – The 5-digit LCD accommodates readings up to 99,999 RPM or REV and includes a backlight for improved visibility. The instrument automatically powers off approximately 10 seconds after the MEAS button is released when no further operation is performed.
- FOR MOTORS, FANS, SHAFTS & ROTATING EQUIPMENT – Suitable for checking rotational speed in electric motors, HVAC fans and blowers, machine spindles, shafts, pulleys, pumps and other rotating equipment where non-contact RPM measurement is preferred. Operating temperature: 32–122°F (0–50°C)
