• - Five each of the three Honda crush washer sizes in one box. The 14mm is Honda 94109-14000 at 14 x 22 x 2.0mm or 0.55 x 0.87 x 0.08in. The 18mm is 90471-PX4-000 at 18 x 26 x 2.0mm or 0.71 x 1.02 x 0.08in. The 20mm is 94109-20000, superseding 90413-551-000, at 20 x 28 x 2.0mm or 0.79 x 1.10 x 0.08in. Compare the number stamped on the old washer against these three before ordering, since the sizes look alike in the hand.
• - Each size has its own job on the car. The 14mm seals the engine oil drain plug, used across the Honda lineup since 1985. The 18mm seals the automatic, CVT and manual transmission drain plug and the rear differential drain plug on many models. The 20mm seals the rear differential drain and fill plugs on AWD models, the transfer case plugs on Pilot and Ridgeline, and manual transmission fill plugs.
• - One box covers a full fluid service instead of three separate orders. Engine oil, transmission and rear differential each call for a fresh gasket, and the sizes are close enough that grabbing the wrong one at the counter is easy. • - Aluminum is softer than the plug and the case, so it deforms under torque and takes on the surface texture of both, and that deformation is what forms the seal. Once flattened a washer will not return to shape, which is why a reused one starts weeping a day after service and tempts you to over-torque the plug. Over-torquing strips the threads in an aluminum pan and turns a cheap gasket into a costly repair.
