It can be used as a standalone potty chair or can be put right on a regular toilet seat. Easy to convert back and forth. It's great for at home or when out and about, traveling, vacations, etc. And it folds up so nicely in the bag, can put it in the trunk for a day adventure or into luggage if packing. The potty itself has soft cushions and there's a cute face for the little ones to enjoy while using it. At first I wondered why the face was upside-down, but of course it's right-side-up for the child sitting on it!Also found the to set up/follow the instructions
