• 3-IN-1: RUST CONVERTER, RUST-BINDING PRIMER & INHIBITOR IN ONE - This water-based formula combines a rust converter, a rust-binding primer and a rust inhibitor in a single coating. It converts and locks down existing tight rust into a stable, paintable layer, then seals out moisture, salt air and oxidation to help stop new rust from forming - no separate primer or top coat to buy.
• SURFACE PREP: SAND FIRST, THEN APPLY OVER RUST - Made for rusted metal. Sand or wire-brush to remove loose rust, mill scale and flaking paint, then wipe away dust and degrease. The converter then bonds to the remaining tight, well-adhered rust, converts it and locks it beneath a durable coating - there is no need to strip the surface all the way down to bare metal. Thorough prep is the key to strong adhesion and long-lasting protection.
• WATER-BASED, LOW ODOR, EASY CLEANUP - The water-based formula is low in VOCs and low in odor, so it is comfortable to work with in a garage or a closed workshop without heavy ventilation. Brushes, rollers and trays rinse out with plain water while wet - no lacquer thinner or solvent bucket. Non-flammable, which also makes it easier to store and ship.
• DURABLE MATTE BLACK / GLOSS BLACK PROTECTION FOR OUTDOOR METAL - The cured film seals out moisture, salt air and oxygen and holds up through seasonal temperature swings without cracking or flaking. Use it on car frames and chassis, truck beds, trailers, boat trailers, wrought iron fences, gates, railings, farm equipment, outdoor tools and metal furniture.
• TOOLS INCLUDED - 1 CAN PLUS A FULL APPLICATION KIT - Each order includes a brush, a roller, gloves, sandpaper, painter's tape and a stirring stick, so there is nothing extra to buy before you start. One 35 oz container covers up to 60 sq ft per coat
• two thin coats give better results than one heavy coat. Apply above 50 deg F on a dry surface, allow 24-48 hours before topcoating, and avoid rain for the first day after application.
