• never checked. ABS-PC is strong—stronger than its components—but it is not damage or theft resistant. A common utility knife makes short work of cutting into the case. But as carry-on and car-trip luggage, the lightweight and flexible nature of the material shines. In several flights and car trips, her luggage looks new. However, her luggage is now my luggage! She took to this set because of many improvements over her past luggage, now my luggage.A final preface note: This luggage is not a good place for a computer. A computer needs better padding and security features.The biggest improvement from her older luggage is the carry-on case wheels. They are very free-rolling, and because they are mounted at the extreme corners of the case, the case itself is difficult to tip. Then there is the cup holder. This might not be a first, but it certainly is a first for us. I noticed it is a first for other reviewers. The TSA lock is not a bank vault lock but is enough to deter casual zip and run thefts. Note that the collapsible handle rises higher than is shown in my photographs.The smaller case can be used for makeup and toiletries. She is more likely to use it for cables, chargers, power converters, and other such travel life accessories. It is very well organized and fitted. The compartments are formed with Velcro pieces, which can be arranged as needed. It has a strap on the back that slides over the larger case's handle.The small duffel bag is a winner, as it is sized between a common crossbody bag and a gym duffel. Again, well suited for a traveler. It fits on the large case handle. A crossbody strap should have been included. The snap straps on the ends protect pockets suitable for water bottles. On the back is a zipper compartment that can hold paperwork, which is protected against the body or against the larger case when the duffel is on the handle.Finally, the Dopp kit (for men) or cosmetic bag. It had expansion straps on the ends, but it was pretty basic.All of the bags have moisture-resistant compartments for swimwear or other wet things.Today’s price is good. The colors are limited but interesting. My wife feels that the orange trim plastic does not look and feel the same as the rest of the materials.
