• which I believe is actually the previous model from this brand, or at least a much cheaper model (I don't mean this as a bad thing, but the one I already owned it clearly aiming to be more affordable by cutting costs in some areas.) That one is almost 1/3 of the cost of this one.So I did drop a pretty penny on this. But I wanted to spoil myself given it was a self indulgent birthday gift to myself.Now, for the price, you'd expect this to be noticably superior. And my god, that is an understatement !The device itself, much like the previous, is meant to be compact for people like me (who live in smaller homes/apartments.) So it is much smaller than what you'd imagine when hearing the word "machine." I placed a trading card in some of the images just to help show scale.Yet the box it arrived in was huge, a little too huge. And significantly heavier. Why is that ?Well, the packaging alone shows a huge difference in presentation and quality. The machine and all the included parts are in a very sturdy looking foam insert, with holes cut specifically to the shapes of each component
• unlike the previous one I mentioned which was just in a box without any form of protection. And under the foam insert is a another box with the toy attachments and stuff that doesn't really need that much protection.Right out the door, the presentation is amazing, like unboxing a luxury electronic. Though this would all be a wasted effort it the machine itself was no different than that older one.It is far from it ! While the older one was mostly plastic, this one seems to be entirely metal (aside from things like the rubber grips to help it stay in place, and the accessories and such) which it being much heavier. And it's VERY nice feeling, not rough nor does it leave that "metallic" smell on your hands after touching it (like when you touch things like coins or a paper clip.) It's surface has been treated very well
