• DC VARIABLE SPEED — 5 PRESET SPEEDS + DETACHABLE CONTROLLER Select from 5 speed settings via the detachable controller — each setting illuminated by individual LED indicators. Adjust flow on demand without stopping the pump. 0-10V external port allows integration with Apex, GHL, or other reef controllers for fully automated flow management.
• CERAMIC SHAFT AND BEARING — LOW WEAR, LONG SERVICE LIFE High-quality ceramic shaft and bearing assembly significantly reduces mechanical wear compared to standard stainless or plastic shafts. Engineered for reliable long-term operation — OCTO VarioS is designed for a 10-year service life under normal operating conditions.
• DUAL FEED MODES + FLOAT SWITCH CONTROL One button activates 15-minute or 60-minute feed mode — pauses pump flow during feeding to prevent livestock from being drawn toward the intake. Built-in float switch control provides automatic dry-run protection. Float switch and controller mounting bracket included.
• DC LOW VOLTAGE OPERATION — ENERGY EFFICIENT AND SAFER DC 24V operation (VarioS 2 & 4) and DC 36V (VarioS 6 & 8) generate significantly less heat per gallon moved than AC pumps. Lower operating voltage improves safety and reduces power draw — especially valuable in high-flow reef sump applications.
• 4 MODELS — VARIOS 2, 4, 6, 8 · ROTATABLE OUTLET VOLUTE Four models cover a wide range of flow requirements. Rotatable outlet volute allows horizontal or vertical outlet orientation without changing plumbing — adapts to sump and return line configurations. Automatic shutdown on circuit fault detection. Not a pressure pump — not for Beckett or downflow skimmers.
