We’ve also had the blanket a few years now so the velcro is starting to wear a bit, so I figured I’d solve the headache of its lack of adjustability by replacing the velcro with buckles, and give us some extra length with this black webbing to make the whole thing more adjustable.The black webbing was easy to cut and to sew into. The ends will fray after cutting so you need to watch out for that and make sure you secure them to prevent long-term damage. Overall the webbing itself feels pretty standard for what I expect from these kinds of straps, it’s not particularly soft but also doesn’t feel abrasive to the touch. It feels sturdy enough but it will be hard to know how well it lasts until it gets put through its paces a little more.I was able to join the black webbing from this set to the existing straps on my picnic blanket, and since they were the same width the buckles were also easy to add. The extra thickness where I joined the two pieces of webbing require a little extra pushing in the case where I need to pull the straps that far, but once I tried folding up the blanket and rolling it to the dimensions I most commonly had issues with, I was able to buckle it shut and pull the straps tight without having to worry about that double-layered portion. The straps stayed in the position I pulled them to when I lifted the blanket so I’m happy with the result.I’m glad to have the remainder of the roll and the rest of the buckles on hand
