I broke my Gearwrench M4×0.75 tap while trying to thread 5mm OD × 3mm ID stainless steel tubing, and couldn't find a replacement from them. It takes a lot of back and forth turning of the T-bar and heavy amounts of cutting fluid to accomplish a thread depth of only 6.5mm. Consequently, if you're impatient, you will endlessly snap your tap, and if you're lucky, the remaining shard will be strong and long enough to extract without having to shorten your tube. This tap from Drill America fit into my kit just fine and hopefully I can finish the task without snapping another one. At least now I have a source for replacing my taps if I break them or when they are overly worn. With fine thread taps this small they are generally only good for one use. Drill America offers theirs at very budget friendly prices.
