    • 1.Safety Preparation: Power down completely and unplug the AC adapter. Remove the battery (disconnect the internal battery from the motherboard). Prepare an anti-static wrist strap, soldering iron, desoldering pump, solder wire, and flux.
    • 2.Remove Old Port: Locate the faulty TYPE-C port on the motherboard. Carefully use a hot air rework station or a soldering iron with a desoldering pump to remove all solder from the port's pins. Gently remove the old TYPE-C port.
    • 3.Cleaning and Preparation: Thoroughly clean the motherboard pads using a soldering iron and desoldering wick. Ensure the pads are flat, with no solder residue or bridges. Apply a small amount of flux to the pads.
    • 4.Install New Port: Place the new TYPE-C port precisely into position on the motherboard, ensuring the orientation is absolutely correct. Tack-solder two diagonal pins for initial alignment. Solder all pins securely and evenly to the motherboard using a soldering iron or hot air station.
    • 5.Final Inspection and Testing: Visually inspect all solder joints under magnification. Ensure they are shiny, smooth, and without cold joints or shorts. Use a multimeter to check for short circuits on key pins. Reconnect the battery and power adapter (without reassembling the case). Test the port for charging, data transfer, and video output (if supported).
