• LONG 1708 BIAXIAL CLOTH: This 35-inch wide by 30-foot long roll of 1708 biaxial fiberglass cloth combines 17 oz of +/-45 degree biaxial fabric with a 0.75 oz chopped mat backing, a full 10-yard roll sized for large boat projects, multi-job stock, and high-volume structural layups.
• BIAXIAL STRENGTH: The bidirectional fiber orientation provides balanced tensile and shear strength across two axes for fiberglass repair jobs, delivering higher structural performance than plain weave cloth of similar weight. The mat backing improves resin wet-out and helps fill small gaps on curved hulls and corners.
• BOAT AND RV PROJECTS: Use this fiberglass cloth for boat hull and deck work, stringers, transoms, auto body panels, hoods, fenders, RV structural panels, and trailer repair. The 35-inch width covers moderate surfaces in fewer cuts, and the 30-foot length means one roll handles multiple jobs.
• WET LAYUP PROCESS: Cut the fiberglass cloth to size with scissors or a utility knife. Apply catalyzed polyester, vinyl ester, or epoxy resin to the prepared surface, lay the cloth down, and wet it out thoroughly with a roller. Add plies as needed, then cure, sand, and finish.
