- they don’t screw on at all. I wasn’t sure how that would work, but as I washed and rinsed each one, I filled it about halfway with water, pushed the lid on and closed the slider, then turned the cup upside down over the sink. No leaks! I poured my iced coffee into the green cup and sipped it over the course of the afternoon. The drink stayed cold, and the ice didn’t melt much over the course of a few hours. I’m taking one of these cups to my camper, which is where the one I tossed lived. The other one will stay here at home.
