- Moroso could have easily made this tank, work for all Mustangs, without the sensor, or with the 1st gen. sensor, if they had bothered to do the research, instead of simply fabbing up a tank that fit their 90+up GT/LX test mule! I tried to call Moroso's tech line, but they never answer, and you have to leave a message, that is never returned! Great customer service is a thing of the past...Not to be totally negative, the hurdle of this tank, not fitting my car, was not the end of the world. I simply retrofitted the later low coolant sensor cap, and harness to the tune of around $100, (from Late Model Restoration Supply) and I was good to go. I wish that the tank matched the contours of the OE plastic tank, a bit more, in that the top is very narrow, 1/2 that of the OE, and if Moroso added a little angled kick out, at the top, it would look way better in my engine bay. The tank went in, without too much effort, although the lower bolt will be a challenge, especially since this tank is a bit wider than the OE plastic, and has zero 'give' since it is aluminum! One more thing -- I challenge anybody who is installing this tank, without removing any other accessories, to actually get it into place, without scratching it all up! There are a bunch of sharp, metal hazards, that scratch up the tank, on its way in. From the power steering pump, to the battery tray etc. The good thing, is once it is in place, you can't see all the scratches you have just put on it! I'm sure that the tank is vastly superior to the OE plastic, and it looks one million times better, and more custom, and racey, IMO. A lot of negative comments, but overall, I like the product, and would recommend it. I just wish that Moroso had 1) done a better job with their research and design, or at least disclosed that it would not be a direct fit on a ton of cars 2) tried to better match the original prof
