I used to use a wire dog hair brush, but this is incomparably better. The bristles are very sturdy and hold up to abuse, so this make the job both easier and faster, and lasts longer, in contrast to the dog hair brushes, whose bristles weaken after a moderate amount of use, and then the casing starts breaking apart. I've only had it for a few months, but I've used it heavily and it looks like it's going to last.At first sight it bothered me that bundles of bristles are too far apart, which I thought would mean you don't get complete coverage of the surface you're brushing, but that's not really an issue unless your brushing motion is straight as a ruler, because if your stroke is even slightly diagonal or uneven, what one row of bristles misses will be brushed by another.As an aside, since most people don't know this "life hack": Fleece starts out soft and smooth, but becomes lumpy and scratchy over time. The secret is that it doesn't actually harden at all, it only pills. So if you have an old fleece sweatshirt or blanket whose surface has become rough, the fibers are as soft as on the day you
